Jimmy Downes Racing is family operated with a small hands on team who work very closely with all our horses.

Our training takes place on our family equine spelling & agistment property positioned in the beautiful Scenic Rim. Located 100km south west of Brisbane and a stones throw from the Gold Coast.

Jimmy Downes Racing offers the lot when it comes to training horses. Pre-Training with our state of the art GG Engineering Treadmill, swimming pool and our green spacious spelling paddocks on site being Christmas Creek Thoroughbreds. 

Jimmy has an extensive background in the industry that dates back many generations from working, owning, breeding, racing and spelling thoroughbreds. All our horses have the best opportunity to shine both at the track and in the paddock. Our horses rest, recover, relax and race.
